New Gt5 Details!

Earlier today on Polyphony Digital’s website it was revealed that Gran Turismo 5 is due for a late 2009 release date. The news article on the site also suggested the game will feature a mammoth 1000 cars. For the first time in a Gran Turismo game there will also be official NASCAR and WRC races integrated into the main GT mode. Strangley enough though, the article has now been removed been from the Polyphony Digital website. Hmm we wonder why?! :s

Hmm, maybe i was expecting more, but 1000 is a great ammount, DLC ftw :P

Considering the detail they are going into with each car id say 1000 is more than enough! And as you said, im sure there will be lots more to follow in DLC!

Sounds good but to be fair i was expecting more cars from this.

That is 1,000 vehicles rendered with the Gran Turismo 5 graphics engine, though, so it isn't as though they have just copied and pasted code from Gran Turismo 4, and considering that there is evidence to at least suggest that Gran Turismo 5 will have real-time crash damage, it means that there is even more attention to detail, as well as the new GT5 graphics engine.

I believe that Gran Turismo 6 (whenever it may be released years from now) will most likely have a far greater amount of cars, than Gran Turismo 5's car selection, as that would probably be tweaks to the graphics engine, which would take a smaller period of time to produce rather than the steps forward from one games console to the next.

Who wants to race me to get all the cars lol? I came close on GT4 but got bored. Hopefully there will be a trophy in it. This game could have like 4 platinums it has so much to do...
