I've Lost Ostrava & Miralda!!!!!!!

Well i managed to get all the way to Miralda but she killed me and when i went back she'd gone so just wondering if anyone knows if this is normal?

and also Ostrava has gone awol as well! can't find him anywhere! i need the key to go and whoop Dorans arse cos i didn't do it first time round! so just wanna know if anyone can point me in the right direction of these mmissing persons?

Okay. When did you last see Ostrava? How far through the first world have you gone?
Is he in the Nexus sitting on the beam in between the plinths?

When you saw Miralda were you in Pure Black or Pure White?
If Pure White then any Physical form death (patch 1.04) will push the Tendency towards black assuming you visited the Nexus after she killed you and before you went back to find her.
If in Pure Black then did you by any chance kill the Primeval Demon or kill a boss and then visit the Nexus after she killed you? If so then the Tendency will have shifted quite a way towards white.
Check the Tendency status screen and let me know what colour it is.
If you were playing whilst signed online then you may have come across the "worlds reset" glitch whereby all of your worlds will have reset to neutral.

Yes we do need more details. Miralda *may* reappear, but sometimes if you don't finish off the world event they are gone for that playthrough... so hopefully she comes back. (This happens mostly with Scivir on Stonefang)

On Ostrava: By far the glitchiest and most annoying character in the game. This guy not only can dissapear without a trace, he can also be killed by enemies if you are not careful. My advise is to follow his sequence of events in one long and consistant go, which means you will have to leave it for your second playthrough as it is more likely that you will be able to proceed into 1-3 easily.

If you want to get the ring for Doran, you can simply kill him as soon as you meet him. The reason to keep him alive is for the story and for the pure stone reward that you get in the end.

i died in pure white form with miralda. and i followed the ostrava story from 1.1 to 1.2 under the bridge but after saving him here he has completely dissapeared! he's not in the nexus or in 1.3 or 1.4 lol!

With Miralda were you by any chance in Physical form when she killed you and then you went to the Nexus before going back to her again?

So you rescued Ostrava successfully in 1-1 and 1-2 but didn't see him in 1-3. Hmm. Have you killed the Penetrator Boss yet? Meaning that you must have played the entire 1-3. Because Ostrava doesn't turn up until you get to the other side of the portcullis that the Fat Minister drops to block your path. Then you must open the portcullis using the lever on the Fat Minister side to rescue him from a few Red Eyes Knights. Maybe you missed him there or didn't realise he was in trouble because those Red Eyes Knights can and will kill him.

i was in physical form when she killed me but i didn't go back to the nexus i went straight back to kill her but she'd gone. there is a dead body on one of the cross beams below, that wouldn't be her by any chance?

yes i've killed penetrator twice now. i'll have a look around by the red eye knights an get back to u on it.

The body on the beam has an item and is not her. Be careful if you decide to get the item, you will have to evacuate to the nexus afterwards because there is no way to get out of the beams.

If Miralda killed you in Pure White, it is likely that your world tendency dropped so she is not spawning. Try killing some black phantoms (they spawn all the time in 1-3).


Ostrava dissappeared from my game in 1-2 on my first play. But he did spawn in 1-3 the second time around, BEFORE I killed Penetrator, so I am rather confused as to the parameters. Overall, people report all sorts of happenings with this guy, so I am hardly amazed by now lol.

i think i figured out what happened to miralda, i was playing with 2 blue phantoms and i reckon they killed her. only thought about it yesterday lol.

Dang. That's not good. I wasn't even aware that Blue Phantoms could see NPCs. At least console yourself with the thought that you only would have got the Bind outfit which:
A) is only wearable by females and
B) is not required for any trophies.

How you getting on with the game otherwise?

otherwise i'm doing great, i got 3 characters on the go lol! one is my original soldier who is soul level 106 and i'm on NG+ Another is a magician soul level 69 on NG+ (Should of grinded more cos its tough at such a low level lol!) and my other character is a female magician currently at soul level 58 on my first playthrough with her. i'm having the most fun with this character.

Hehe. Cewl buddy. Sounds like a platinum for you soon then, eh? Although I'm surprised you went for two magician characters. If you had changed one of them to a, erm, whats the term for them, disciple? character of the cloth? One who uses miracles anyway, then you would have got the all miracles learnt trophy easier, perhaps, than using two magicians.

I've put this game aside now for awhile, at least until the NA version comes out that a friend of mine from the States is sending me. :)

But I'm still gonna be checking the forums to see if you or anyone else posts in the meantime.
