This is really great news that Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 is getting trophies as this game looks amazing and I can't wait till it comes out as I am a big fan of the series.

Hey im from Bournemouth too.
Also I have heard rumours about the trophies for this game that there isn't going to be any not sure if its true though.
Also on the blog I go on to see all the information about this game they have pictures of the Chelsea & Arsenal kits they have edited and they are going to release an option file on day of release.

Thats if it is even getting trophies because I have heard rumours in a podcast I listen to sometimes who interviewed the creator it may not be getting trophies.

Exactly, I would have bought fifa, had it been released with trophies _ I've always been a Fifa fan but I think this one might pull me across to the dark side.;)

Any chances of some of the main men on here getting a list?
I'd assume they're the same as the achievments, but it would be nice to know for sure.

Can somebody confirm that Fifa is 100% not getting trophies? The Xbox ones are really impressive (e.g. Supply a cross that gets headed/volleyed in my a team mate in Co-co). I do believe that EA realise the importance of trophies now and will not want to see PES have any advantage.
Anyone else?

I think the FIFA achievements are really impressive and we could see a future patch for FIFA but i've always been a PES fan anyway, even back in the days of ISS so i wouldnt get FIFA.
P.S ardjoe, Up the Villa! ;)

That's a ridiculously narrow attitude. I too have loved Pro since ISS on the SNES, but this year I'll definitely be buying both. Fifa is winning rave reviews and by all accounts is a better gaming experience than Pro 09.
Why avoid a good game of football?
While I'm here, anybody know if Pro is coming WITH trophy support or will it be added in a patch later?
Thanks

By all accounts? The only thing most reviewers agree on is that they provide very different gaming experiences, with FIFA being a more slower-paced, calculated game and PES having a zippier, end to end style to it.
Very few have stuck their head on the block and declared one game better than the other. In fact, this year the games are about as close in terms of quality as they can get.

I agree that many reviews have said they're as good as each other but the overall impression I've found is that they believe Fifa provides the more enjoyable gaming experience - also reflected in the final scoring and games players who I've spoken to who've played both.
I'm no way saying Fifa IS the better game - to be honest I'm glad they're on par as it means better competiton between the two to improve their respective franchises.

According to thise review, there is no trophy support in PES.
This is bullshit, noone realeasing games from now has an excuse to not include trophy support in their games, what a heap of crap.
I wanna get the game but what if its patched? All that time previously spent will be wasted and i'll have to go back and start a new file.
Seriously fucking pissed right now, especially considering we were said to be getting them. I really hope this post bites me in the ass, but its doubtful...
