I'm new to this game and just started career and thought i was doing really well not losing until i had to fight Sherk. I hit him with head kicks and punches and also combo's but nothing.

All he has to do is get me on the floor and either ground and pound K.O or submission.

Any advise would be appreciated.

I'm having the same problem with the Heavyweight Brock Lesner guy (I forgot his name, but he is huge).

Everything went fine, had a 8-winstreak with 0 draws and 0 losses, and then this guy keeps beating me...

I just turned off my PS3, so it wouldn't save haha.

Done it like 3 times now :p

the best way to beat ground and pounders is to use your speed, keep moving around the ring and try not to throw to many kicks, as they will reverse the kick and tack you down. If the take you down, you need to get out as quickly as possibly, or try and submit him, as brock lesnar is particular had rubbish submission skills.
I hope this helped, im doing a lightweight career and am on 25 undefeated streak, and beat sean sherk by using these tactics.
Tell me how you got on.

Thanks for your help.

But how do you submit or get out of it? Is it just spinning the "R-stick" or is there another way? Because just by spinning it, it doesnt seem to work...

Spinning it is the way, but brock is likely to use brute force to get out, you cant really stop this, but is drains his stamina, making it easier to submit latter on in the fight

Once in a position to pull of a submission ( arm bar, kimora etc) press R3 to start the submission. Now you can either spin the right stick like crazy or hammer the face buttons for a brute force attempt. Same goes for getting out of submission moves made by your opponent.

Brock Lesnar is an absolute c***!
I couldnt beat him either. im having the same problem with rashad evans. really annoying me. keep having to quit.
i keep going for the takedowns and wear him out until its time to submit him!

Good luck with that, the computer AI is hard as hell to submit during career mode. With Rashad Evans i find it best to keep your distance, wearing him down with head kicks and super man punches.

yeah just quit and exit. also there patching the ai so it will be easier to submit them. just got to button mash and tire him out. i retired undefeated after seven years on heavyweight and got the no touch trophy but not the hall of fame because i went for the belt my last year im guessing

Luck also play as huge part in this as you can catch them out with a lucky punch i wouldnt recommend kicks just always keep on the move.
