Hello all.

I am trying to organise a mass boosting/viewing session for members of ps3trophies.co.uk for Friday May 22nd beginning at 8PM GMT lasting for exactly 1 week.

What I propose is as follows. (please skip to the end of the list if you wish to participate).

Confirmed to attend & validated.

Stan64 (will be rating every media 5 stars)
Media to view/rate: 1 Video, It will be the only video uploaded

King_Ubu (will be rating every media 4 stars)
Media to view: A picture of me holding a singstar Mic, with a giant ET toy (yes that is ET as in the alien from the film ET).

freakyzeeky (will be rating every media 5 stars)
Media to view: Video 'All the Small Things' by Blink-182.

Media to view: A photo/snapshot... it will be his only one.

Media to view: a photo of a Ken figure from Street Fighter, it will also be the only piece of media up.

Media to view: a SNAPSHOT/PHOTO. It will be the only SNAPSHOT/PHOTO so it won't be hard to find!

JakeSS14 --- You have not declared any dummy accounts yet.

You make 10 new PSN accounts on your ps3 (so in theory you should have 11 in total, one being your main, and the other 10 being dummy ones).

Once you have the ten, you will need to go into them all and make a singstar account, don't worry about content. Just make a profile picture and then exit, no need to put anything in the dummies.

Once you have done that, post in here that you want to join and declare your main account, this will be the one that people view/rate on, and the other 10 dummy accounts that you will be using to boost views/ratings.

This is vital for this to work, if you do not delcare your dummy accounts I will not add you to the list. The reason being is that I've lost count the number of times when people organise stuff like this, people say "I wanna join!" and then are never heard from again. The reason for you to make singstar accounts before joining stating that you want to join the list is again another way for us to check that you do indeed have 10 singstar/dummy accounts and will not just sit back and wait for 20 people to rate you.

In order for this to be anywhere near successful, we would need at least 20 people to make 10 accounts and be able to do the ratings from Friday 22nd May 8PM GMT. If you think that’s a lot, the FIFA 09 forum manages to do this on a near daily basis and the Warhawk forum still has a rather healthy clan manager topic going around.

At some point before May 22nd, you would need to decide what new piece of media you want to upload, something that does not have any ratings. You will need to declare this here along with your profiles in order for the rest of us to find your media and rate/view it. You also need to upload it a good hour or two before 8PM, the reason being? Say we have 10 people here ready at 8pm and you have no media... they will not wait for you to upload one, they'll go onto the next person on the list.

Why a new piece and not one that’s close to the 200? For the simple reason that unfortunately not everyone is honest. A few days ago 10 people were robbed from their 10 vs 10 fifa 09 trophy because of a flunk of luck for the other team. I'm sorry to say... but I could so easily see someone with near 200 views getting them long before anyone else, finding the trophy unlocked and then deciding not to help anyone else out! Lets face it, it's happened before in other trophies and it would happen with this one too.

If you already have the 200 views trophy, I would also ask you to join, the reason being is that it would be a big boost to a number of other online trophies, such as they really love me and singstar celeb.

Come the day of the boost, I advise that the quickest course of action would be to log in first using your main account, then go through the list viewing people and rating 5 on their chosen/new bit of media. Then log out of that account and log back in using one of your dummy accounts. Repeat the process of going through the list.

So to summarise.

You need to...

* Make 10 new PSN ID's.

* Make a singstar account with them all immediately after.

* post your main account, the 10 dummies, and the bit of media you intend to upload (you can say "it's a photo of... it's a video of... it's an audio file of me singing... etc... just something that helps us identify the media quickly.) in this topic IN THE SAME POST!

* On friday May 22nd your new piece of media must be on Singstar at some point before 8PM GMT

Some other notes

* You do not need to add anyone to your friends list, use Singstars own search option to find individuals.

* you only need to view/rate the main account, the dummy account's only purpose is to view/rate everyone elses main account.

I will edit this post as the week goes on with people who have their accounts ready and will begin constructing the list in this opening post if there is an interest from people to do this.

Also please note... I say 20 people because that’s a reasonable target, especially when it comes to them then making 10 accounts.. however, if we get more people wanting to give it a go, I see no reason why the list cannot go over 20.

Furthermore, when you decide on your bit of media, I would advise that it be something that you would upload if you wanted it to get views as this will help you with other trophies as it will attract others from viewing/rating who are not aware of this topic.

With any luck, you will either get your 200 views trophy in an hour or two, or you will get a major boost so that achieving it becomes so much easier compared to pot luck which is what's currently going on.

All my dummys are validated... but if anyone wants to double check, go right ahead. In fact, all of the accounts from number 7 onwards should all have the happy singstar day trophy as today as the official date that the trophy unlocks! lol.

Also, I'm not sure that the ratings update in time with the views, I did a few tests and I found that one or the other would update at a different rate. And in some cases I wasn't sure if either had registered, viewings have definately registered, ratings are another question.

Furthermore. I would like to stress again, that due to numbers, if you already have the 200 views in a week trophy. Please come and join us. The reason being is that I fear that we may not have anywhere near enough come Friday, or at least anywhere near a good figure to pull this off.

But I would advise that you use a new bit of media, is that chances are, some people in the group will have already viewed and rated it, so it'd be wasting theirs and your time.

So if you already have the 200 views and want to help out, by all means as we would love to have you aboard.

Also, if you have anyone on your friends list or go to another ps3 trophy type site, promote this thread! The more people we have doing it, the better our chances at getting those harder trophies.

i am so up for this! the only online one i need left is this 200 views in one week this is so perfect! now i will not be getting home until the 22nd so i will have to upload a new piece of media before 8pm, which will do. i have already made 10 dummy accounts (i will try and list them now but may have trouble rembering from the top of my head, so will edit on friday 22nd, but they all have singstar accounts set up already - as i tried to get the trophy already by rating my own stuff, but it never worked - i could only get upto 100 views as everyone else rates your stuff 1*).
i am on half term next week so i will have all week to rate peoples stuff etc.

That would be true... if everything went according to plan.... something is bound to go wrong, somebody may not turn up... someone may get missed by someone etc etc.

This way, if we aim for over 200 votes intitially, the rest will get caught up by the normal signstar community having a look. It's a bit of an insurance policy just in case someone is a bit under or we all don't quite get 200 views on the night, it'll naturally get there within the 7 days.

Although depending how deseperate I get... I may end up making tens of accounts!

Yes the emails do need to be different.... but they do not have to actually exist.

I discovered this last night. Say you put on the PS3 account that your email address is "angryowls@hotmail.com" you do not actually have to make that email account. The Online account activation does not require you to log into an email to activate it. The email is only there for when you buy items from the PS Store or if you are selected for beta testing/prize winnings.

I tested it by going to the hotmails create email account and then testing to see if my desired email username could be used... they said yes... so I used it, and the account was created, I was able to get online and create a singstar account, rate content without actually having an email.

For most of mine, I used emails that do not exist.

However, once you use them, no other user can use those emails to make an account.

So effectively, you could randomly type a mash of random letters on your keyboard and then end with @Hotmail/Yahoo/lycos/whatever.com/co.uk and you've got yourself a PSN account.

So what are you waiting for! JOIN UP!

I've now placed this notice/event on another ps3 trophies site, so hopefully we may get a few new bodies to aid us, because right now we're not on target to do this.

In the event that it doesn't happen on the night... we'll have less than 6 days to get the views/ratings.

What I propose is the following...

If we fail on friday night to do this, we delete all the dummy accounts from our systems and then set up new ones... we then make another attempt on Sunday night. Provided everyone who has confirmed their attendance so far and those who have expressed interest join, we may just do it... if not, I say we have one final push on wednesday next week... then for the rest of the week, we just boost ourselves using dummy accounts...

Because if we don't get it by wednesday, we'll never get it and we'd be best spending thursday and the remaining hours on friday of next week boosting the views/ratings on our own accord.

Once again, if you have registered an interest, please set up your dummy accounts as soon as possible... also you need to start having a very good thing about your media.

I'm going to get my act together to, starting from tonight, the first post in this topic will start to see a list of people who are confirmed to join along with their main account name and chosen media etc. The list order will be those who declared their 10 dummy accounts first. I'll also list next to the names who has made singstar accounts for their 10 dummy accounts.

Come the night, anyone who has not got a validated sign by their name... Do not go to their account over another user who has been validated... simply because I don't want to take the risk of someone claiming to have 10 accounts... and then sitting back on the night and watching their ratings come flooding in.

I know I may come off a bit mean in this... but I really want this one out of the way and I imagine a great many of you do to.

Three things tonight...

1: I have now edited the front post to show who is ready and who is yet to be validated/has problems with their submissions and listed reasons why... please hurry and correct this so we're ready.

2: I was reading the TOS when making my last dummy account last night and I became a little uneasy about one of the points... Therefore... on the night, you will each be given a number... it'll appear in brackets beside your PSN ID in the list on the front page of this topic and it will either be a 4 or a 5. That will be the number of stars you rate the said media...

The reason for this is simple... the way singstar rates people in the hall of fame is down to ratings, not views... therefore if suddenly 200 people rate one dude 5 out of 5 that person would get on the hall of fame at the expense of someone else... in otherwords... cheating... therefore to prevent this, by having around half the users rating 4, it prevents anyone from going into 5 out of 5, and will not rob anyone who is not involved of being on there.

Finally... and very disapointed I must say...

Less than 24 hours to go and so far we have a grand total of two people who are ready for the day... and one of them is me!

I've edited the front page to show the people who are ready for the night, and a second list showing people who are not ready along with reasons as to why.

Some do not even have singstar accounts for any of their profiles...

Put it like this, if you do not have any dummy accounts with a singstar profile, you won't be included. I can't put it anymore plainly if I tried. But this also goes to people who have not yet even listed 10 accounts!

Now I know that this would last for the week, but I would have hoped that with less than 24 hours to go before the start there would have been a lot more effort made than this... Yes I know that some people have real work stuff to do, hence why my accounts took till thursday to get online... But I'm shocked that only 2 people have so far done this, one is me, and the other guy only found out about this earlier today!

Yes, it's definately still happening, one way or another, and it'll last for exactly one week from the first upload.

But look at it like this, if come the day theres only 5 varified users and nobody else, we can simply delete the dummys, make new ones and then do it again ourselves, it would take us no time at all to do it.

But I really wanted 20 people to join because it would utterly smash the requirements and get people so much closer to "They really love me"

I am not sure the debate about this being cheating or not is relevant until we get this done. 4 1/2 stars will be enough to get us noticed by the mods anyway, i am not giving a **** though.

Don't call me stupid sunshine I gave it a lot of thought before I decided on it. You want to make a 5 star only one, go right ahead.

Secondly, have you actually looked on the hall of fame? There is no advantage of being on there at all. Absolutely none. Most of the top ones only have 1 5 star rating and 20 views... thats it.

The fact of the matter is, depending on your interpretation of the TOS point which roughly goes along these lines "You must not cheat the online service in any game to put yourself at an unfair advantage over others."

If we all rate one another 5 stars and enough people complained. We potentially could be in violation of that as we would be bumping genuine 5 star individuals off the top spot. However, with 4.5 stars we would not make it, therefore we would not be cheating because nobody would be loosing out of the top stop who didn't deserve to be there.

Furthermore... if all this goes to plan, you will not need to worry about being in the hall of fame.

The more I think about it... the more uneasy it makes me feel... Right... I think from now on it's views only, If you want to rate people go ahead and do so, but the more I think about it the more uneasy it makes me feel. This does not mean anyone below the cut-off line will not get ratings, you will. the same as everyone else, but everyone will not get the huge original target, it's too great a risk and it's one I do not want to take nor put on anyone else.

Also... theres no way I'm going to have time to validate everyone.

So anyone who has posted 10 accounts who did not edit their post since last nights validations, I am considering them to be validated. So I'll check them as I go and edit the list only if I find a major problem e.g. someone has no dummy accounts.

Another idea I have is to separate all people who get 200 views before anyone else. that way we don't have to do as much work in the end. Though those people have to help the others until everyone gotten 200 views.

dont worry, everyone has a different number of views (i have 90, someone else doing this has 130) so its entirely down to random singstar players watching random stuff (mostly the hall of fame stuff - therefore the higher in HOF you are, the more views you will get). and videos generally get more views than snapshots because people watch more vids than pics. i am certainly rating you and im sure everyone else is (im on 7th dummy out of 10) but some people are only on 1st or 2nd.

as for shyvah, i have viewed your pic with four out of my six dummys as i viewed it as soon as you joined and i had already done two last night but may go back later if i have time!

it could be absolutely anything.

However I suspect it's just because people have not gotten to yours yet.

Last night the lag was utterly hell, I got disconnected every time I attempted to even search a profile let alone load up a video or anything else. So I only bothered with the first few and then gave up until the severs cooled down.

Today they're a lot better so if people continue were they left off you should notice a big improvement.

However I do suspect that some people are not viewing or are viewing the wrong item as my other picture has had a huge boost in views despite it so clearly not being the one I specified.

But like I said, if you don't get it, chances are there will be another one of these in the near future so it's not like you'll be out of chances. As nobody is going to get 8000 individual views unless they do something like this.


I'm also thinking of creating a few more accounts so nearer the end of the week if anybody is shy of the 200 mark I might be able to help them out again. I know it's very time consuming guys but I hope we can all stick at it and get there as a group.

I am more than willing to do that. Mine is currently stuck at 132 views. I've not yet used my other accounts on it, so it should bump up to 142 and I don't think i've got around to you yet hodgson, so you can expect another 10 before the night is up. But if it does seem to stop, I'd be willing to make another 10... like I said before, if people want the platinum, they'd need to participate in a number of these anyway.

Just looked at a few of them and again none of them have a singstar account.

I don't know what your game is but until you start getting some singstar accounts for those ID's theres no way I'm adding you to the list, especially since you've now listed 2 different dummy accounts and none of which appear to have singstar accounts.

Sorry the double post but I thought I should get this out there asap.

I'm onto my 5th dummy account now, and as I go onto each persons media again I'm a bit worried that we're not going to all get this.

So far, I think theres only 1 person on track to actually do this and even if everyone here does all 10 of their dummys and votes with their main accounts too, we're still all going to be short by a range of 40-20 views. Most of us are no longer on the hall of fame first page now. I'm also convinced that somebody on the list isn't viewing everybody, unfortunately, without asking everyone to post something in everyones account (which would greatly add the to the time to complete this) theres no way to prove who has or hasn't voted.

So, we can either wait and hope that around 5 new people join and make 10 accounts and every single one of them views everybody in 5 days... or... I have to ask some people who have already made 10 accounts to delete them and make another 10 and start rating/viewing people again.

Now I am more than willing to make another 10 accounts and get craking on the viewing/ratings once I've got through the other 5 I still have left. But just me on my own isn't going to do it.

I'm also aware that some people have said both publically and privately to me that they would use more accounts to boost if it was needed. Looking at where the majority of us are at, and how many have said they've finished... I think it's going to be needed.

Put it like this... when owen29051992 logs on today he should see his 100 views trophy pop up. I know this because I view/rated him at around 1:15am and that view was view 99, it's now nearly 2:00 am and his pic was still at 99 views... it's now 100.

Whilst I know it's early in the morning and a low activity time, it still does present an issue that some people may not get this or be very short. So if you're willing to make another 10 accounts and start voting again. Please do so right away. I'm going to get on making more accounts the moment I've viewed/rated on these.

As before please declare your accounts once they have a singstar account too... but don't wait for me to say "Yes you're validated" get viewing/rating the moment you've made them... oh and also... rate people 5, since we're off the first page of the hall of fame theres no need to worry at all.

Edit: I have now used all my accounts to view/rate everyone on the list. I'm now going to get to work making more accounts.

hi all, again thank you everybody that did view my snapshot - I now have the 'all eyes on me trophy' (200 views in the first week) so I am a very happy bunny. However.... I have NOT picked up the 'pillar of the community' trophy (200 visits to my homepage) - does anybody have any idea how this is possible?!? I'm guessing a glitch but it's not good is it! Also, is anybody having a problem leaving comments? I did a few but now when I try to I have a pop up message that reads 'unable to leave comment, please try in 24 hours'. It's not essential but I was kinda letting people know I had visited them.
btw I didn't think I'd make it to 200 views so I went to 20/30 random accounts and sent messages to please view my content - do you know more than half did so if anybody out there is shy of the mark try a little self promotion as it worked for me.

The plan is that you have 100 photos uploaded and 10 to 15 extra accounts. First off you can get 1500 views from yourself on all photos. Then you can trade views with other people in a specific thread. You can choose yourself if you want to trade 500, 1000 or 1500 views with a specific person. And when you agree you get to work, both of you.
