alright, after playing a few songs on this, i've come to the conclusion that its gonna be bloody fecking hard to get these trophies, as my voice sounds like a guitar solo played by a crippled hand.

anyone got any advice on how to actualy get these trophies.

Yeah, you really aren't gonna be able to platinum this game unless you're a considerably better singer than most of the singers featured in the actual game.

Don't agree with that! I've got all of the trophies that rely on skill (only online views and the millions of plays away from platinum) and I'm far from a decent singer.

Your singing level isn't really a good way to judge this game. I've been playing it for a while now, and whilst I have been in various musicals and have an ok singing voice. Depending on the song, I'm dreadful at this game. Reason being is that the quality of your voice doesn't have much impact until you go online.

But the actual game itslf doesn't test singing ability so much as it tests your ability to mimic.

For instance, if I sing how I would normally, theres only a few songs that I score well in... but if I attempt to mimic the original artist, whilst I don't sound good/right at all, the game tells me I'm doing great.

Also, it's not a good game to test singing ability for the reason that most of the modern bands and artists have had their voice 'treated' through a voice machine. For a human to be able to mimic this as well as the quick changes in pitch is far from easy, but the game does not take this into consideration, if it ever released the 'live' versions of some artists, you'd find it very easy to get 9000 + on many songs that at the moment are very hard.

But getting online awards, other than the 200 views in a week, the rest are very doable... you just either have to have boobs, or do something hilarious on a video.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was saying too - singing ability is less important than practice, mimicry and persistence! As you say, there's so much post-treatment on most of the songs available. I'd expect half of the artists to struggle with their own songs...
