Sony has stated that from the start of 2009 onwards ALL PlayStation 3 games MUST have trophies, so consider it a definite that Gran Turismo 5 will have trophies, although the trophies list has not been confirmed yet.

That's not entirely true. I can name quite a few games published in 2009 that do not contain trophies. It has got something to do with the game announcement from 2009 onwards. GT5 was announced way before 2009........O_o

But I don't think Sony will let this one go without trophies.

I believe that all up and coming PS3 exclusive games should definitely have trophies! I also believe that all PS3 exclusive games from the past should get trophy patches, but there a lot that haven't, though, including:

this will be the hardest plat ever, it takes 100 and 100 of hours to complete the basic game going on how hard gt4 was to complete, i will give it a good go lol

This is not a game to buy for the trophies, But the plat will be cool to have, since it will be a pain to get.

Further more I hope they drop the approx. 1230 trophy point limit on this, course looking at the previous releases it could have 2460 trophy points, and there would still be long for the next trophy pling

Why is everyone saying it will be hard to platinum? You never know, could be really easy or just medium to platinum, look at Uncharted ect ect, not multiplatform games are harder to platinum than PS3 exlcusives, but we'll see. I'm getting this game no matter what the trophies are.

I also agree wid the guy who said past PS3 exclusives should get trophies aswell, I'd love to get Haze trophies, would give me a reason to play it again, even though it wasn't that great, also, I would love MGO and MGS trophy lists, 2 trophy lists for 1 game :D
