Just read this is pretty funny.
It seems that as little as 1000 people are playing Noby Noby Boy right now, and at this rate it will take 2000+ days for GIRL to reach Mars. The news comes from a website set up to track multiple stats for the game, which follows how many people play, how much they play, what they do, how many new people play, and how long it will take to reach a certain goal.
Other news from the site reveals that the total number of players that gave the game a go is around the 60,000 mark. However it seems not many stick around, as BOY daily activity has sat around the 1500 mark for the last month, hardly ever pushing past 2000, and getting dangerously close to falling below 1000 at times.
The site also states that the number of new people to join the game fluctuates from between 300-500 daily, but with people continually leaving as well the growth of GIRL is also falling daily, which means it will take longer and longer to reach certain goals as more and more people cease playing.
The games creator, Keita Takahashi, recently said that it would take around 820 years to connect the entire solar system, but it is now very likely that number has climbled even higher.

Have you played it since getting the trophies? I've played it maybe twice but am now going to play it on my kid brothers account because he can't get the unproportianl trophy.

I played it on April 1st. The fairy said that GIRL didn't grow at all in the last day... sad :(
But to be perfectly honest, the game doesn't have any goal, and because of that it doesn't have anything to get you back into it. So what if we get to Mars, it's just another stage pack. The stages are not that different to make me want to play them, and the distance to Mars is so big that it's like having to kill 1,000,000 people in Resistance 2. It's putting me off.
In Katamari at least there where some goals to accomplish, and it was fun ripping out parts of the ground when you where giant ^^

I want to see Mars!! lol we should all just leave our ps3 on over night with the left and right stick sellotaped apart see how much a difference we can make (probably not much)
Apprently the game was devloped for the 360 but then never got released they should release it for that and carry the numbers accross both systems.
I'm waiting for the day when sony and microsoft consoles can play with each other, i remember one the burnout podcasts they said they actually have to put code in to stop it happening but they would like to have everyone play together.

Besides, flying and turning to make yourself shorter and longer is a lot faster. A few minutes of that would be better then a few AFK hours.
Oh, and let me quite myself here:
You know that IF the distance is proportional to our Solar System, and we'll be going at the same speed we did to get to the moon (7 days) then reaching mars would take us (from earth) 1013 days!!!! That's like 3 years!
I hope the solar system is NOT to scale @_@So yeah, if our activity is now in the dumps I think my children will probably still have to work to see Mars...
...and no, I don't have children.

I like in the story it says it will take 820 years to connect the solar system. Its not even 6 months and people no longer play the game lol. I can imagine though reading in like 10 years how some crazy kid as made it is ambition to get as far as possible.
Oh yeah and in the topic i meant to say "(read for more)" not read for me:knife:

Its a crap game. Did they seriously expect us to stretch & shrink & stretch & shrink & stretch... for 1000 days just to see new scenery?
Its a dumb game. It was just a way to give them our money. When designing it did they seriously have "fun & interesting" in mind...?

I guess this game is proof that innovative thinking doesn't always pay off. :undecided:
I don't think that's it craig. it was a £3 game designed to be a gimic really so with no real goal the trophies kind of become the games goals and once you've got all the trophies theres no real goal left other than helping girl grow. So it isn't a sign of originality not working just that a game with no goal won't keep people gripped. (although animal crossing and sims seemed to make it work)

I've been playing it just recently. The multiplayer mode and other stuff in the update added a bit more longetivity in my opinion. There's still a core of people trying to stretch girl as far into the solar system as well.

Who would play this?
i got it, played it for an hour, and got nine trophies.
I've never touched it since, and i've had it for around 6 months.
It's terrible, boring, and has no charm.
The designer needs to pay US to play it.

LOL...how the hell did you spend an hour on it? I coudnt last more then 15 min
I thought it was quite fun; the cats were entertaining ;)
I did only play it until I had 100% of the trophies, but went back on it to show a friend what it was.

It's good to have variety in games.
It was fun for a short while, and it was some of the cheapest trophies you've ever had.
Let's leave it as that!
As for new planets, I haven't played it since BEFORE you guys got to the moon.
I seriously doubt there is anything new to see. It was a nice distraction, but just like with most games, once you have achieved everything, it won't get played again.
