Ohhh this game makes sick before its released :D

I don't think that they'll release it in september. Maybe in Japan.

Maybe they release it as a bundle with the PS4 in 2014 :D

September? That's probably just an estimate from someone else. Besides, knowing Polyphony's perfectionistic tendencies, we'd be lucky to see it released by the end of the year. Wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't released until 2010. I hope I'm wrong, though... :|

That's just their estimate. Odds are it's completely wrong.

I would have to say this is going to get released sometime in early 2010 as I definatly can't see it coming out this year but I might be wrong.

Well, at least we'll get Uncharted 2 this year :D but how about God of War III ?

newest rumours says that they're doing a PC version of this game too. I think that could be a reason for the delays.

No, that won't be true. Sony own the name of Gran Turismo; I can't ever see them selling out to PC for anything.

As for the time it's taken, that's because Polyphony Digital (the developers of GT5) and in particular their president (Kazunori Yamauchi) are a bunch of perfectionists. This means they may keep us waiting longer than other people would, but the game should be all the better for it.

I'll put my house on it not being released in the UK by the end of the year.. I'm going to say Q2 2010. (If we're all good boys and girls)

I agree though that the delays can only make the game better.. and as most people here have said, PD are a bunch of perfectionists..
I read somewhere how much time goes into each car, cant remember the exact amount of hours, but it was damn impressive..

Check this out:

SCEA marketing head John Koller has dropped a heavy hint that Gran Turismo’s future may not be limited to just PSP and PS3.

“[Polyphony Digital] report directly into our CEO, Kaz Hirai, so it’s a little bit of a ‘wait and see’,” the exec told VG247 when asked when we can expect to see GT5.

“But we look for that franchise to continue on as many platforms as possible.”
Koller said in the same interview, recorded at GDC, that Sony is currently looking at “GT5 across all platforms, just to see what makes the most sense.”
PC gamers may do well to get excited by the talk. Polyhony head Kazunori Yamauchi’s already said that “perhaps [GT5] comes to the PC,” talking specifically of a Chinese launch.

It doesn’t take the hugest leap of logic to guess Koller may be talking about a PC SKU here.

My guess is around summer 2010 poly will delay it.. the game will be perfect before they release it.

GT5 Infos leaked?! Who knows if they're right or not. I'm really hopefull that they'll release it this year!!!

David Jaffe’s described an forum post hinting at very specific GT5 info last night as “convenient”. “GT5 info leaked the very same day NPD came out,” he said via Twitter. “Convenient.” A poster on GT Planet rambled on about bird and skypaths yesterday. It’s been interpreted thus:

- Global release date: December 1
- 600+ cars
- 95 tracks (some of which will be remodelled GT4 tracks/cars)
- Ability to create new tracks from existing ones
- Extensive clan/team features
- There will be two versions of GT5. One with all the features in it, costing the most (initially). Small version will be GT5P+, but it will cost you to get all the upgrades to the big version
- Possible PSP/PC release
