According to the Japanese gaming magainze: Famitsu, the PS3 will be receiving a JRPG exclusive titled, Atelier Rorana.
As of now the game has only been confirmed for the Japanese market. Hopefully we'll see this stateside, and in Europe as well.
No details have been released for the game yet, but here's a screen from the Famitsu article. Definitely has the anime theme down.

Is this in any shape, way or form related to the Atelier Iris series on the PS2..? God, I hope not. Those games were stone-cold terrible.

I'm just hoping it has nothing to do with those titles, because they were simply terrible. All 3 of them. If this is the fourth, I have no reason to believe it'll be any different.

Man, seems like Japan is getting all sorts of RPGs. Do we have any JRPG's over here yet? Like, ones with trophies? I know we have like Folklore and a few others but those are relatively old.

No, I absolutely don't, lol. I look at this the same way as I would look at a sequel to Haze. Some games are just so terrible at first that redemption isn't even a possibility anymore. They'd have to come up with an entirely new concept that has nothing to do with the old.
But, against better judgment, I will keep an open mind and wait to see if this is as bad as the previous 3.

Life has taught me that if someone or something fails you three times in a row, you set yourself up for disappointment by thinking the fourth time might be different.
