View Full Version : Next Insomnaic Title to be PS3 Exclusive

The creators of such illustrious titles of the Ratchet and Clank and the Resistance franchises has recently revealed that their next title, formerly rumoured to be multi-platform, is indeed a PS3 exclusive.

All we know is that it's in development for now, but given their track record I think it's fairly safe to say that it'll be a beaut.

Note: Anybody who utters the words 'Haze', 'Free Radical' or 'Recession' will be the lucky receipient of myself personally coming around their house to put my foot in an orafice of their choice.

This is good news. I was worried that they would go multiplatform. I wonder what the new IP will be hopefully its not a FPS and a good action adventure game

It's obviously going to be a Ratchet & Clank game.

I think that Insomniac will keep Ratchet and Resistance as Sony IPs, but will begin to work on a multiplatform project for next year.

Pretty certain to me that the nect Insomniac game will be Jak and Daxter. They have already trademarked the name.

jak and daxter is naughty dog i doubt insomniac have taken it over as it's always been similar to ratchet and clank. why would they bother making the same game with less popular characters?

I don't think it will be a Jak and Daxter game, that's still a Naughty Dog franchise as far as I know. Would be awesome though. My moneys on the next Ratchet Game, platform games are few and far between these days so either would be sweet.

Well lets hope Naughty Dog do one and what you heard (although muddled up) is true.

I need more Jak and Daxter in my life, Uncharted is a good game but it takes itself too seriously for my liking.

AAArgh we need more PS3 exclusives, Insomniac are one of Sonys best dev teams. I really don't want to share them with Microsoft

Cool, I love Insomniac. I doubt it'll be Ratchet and Clank, they already promised it for Fall 2009 in Quest for Booty.

It'll hopefully be an entirely new franchise.

You do kind of have a point there, but all games use a similar sort of principle. Either that, or a medi-pak.

Insomniac are one of my favourite developers, too!

From the moment I saw the first few glimpses of Resistance: Fall Of Man, I knew it was going to become a franchise or at least have a sequel, and that it was going to be a classic, as Insomniac have developed some of my favourite games!

Insomniac developed the Spyro The Dragon games on the PSOne, as well as Disruptor for the PSOne. They also developed the Ratchet And Clank and Resistance games, so they a lot of experience, and they are amazing developers!
